Yesterday I was sitting with John sipping coffee and talking about the day spent when I received a call from my ex-colleague, Dorothy. She had called on me a few days back when I had advised her to buy a baby walker for her active daughter, Susan. I had further told her about a few options but had also asked her to do a bit of searching herself.
She had called yesterday to thank me for my suggestion. She had already been through with the purchase and was jolly pleased to see Susan moving about in her prized possession. She said that Susan was really glad to explore. The walker helped Dorothy to do some household work but she never left Susan out of sight. When I asked her about the model she had bought for Dorothy she said that she had settled for a cute pink baby walker from V-tech. At a cost of $62.89 the design is durable with lockable, big wheels. Moreover the easy-to-grip handle is just perfect for beginners. The three learning modes were proving to be most attractive for Susan and were also helping her to learn numbers, colors, animals and sounds. The song, sound and light effects made it inseparable from Susan and the pink color made it most charming.
Though she had chosen this model she advised me about a few models of Graco baby walkers and also about some baby push walkers.
She mentioned that a baby push walker from Melissa & Doug costing at around $37.10 was quite excellent. Being made of wood it was quite sturdy. Various motions, sounds, three green gators and colorful spinning beads made the walker entertaining and educative.
When our conversation ended I reminded John that we had to make a purchase. He asked me about the budget and told me not to aim at something very high-priced. He said that he intended to gift his nephew, Pete a metal detector on his forthcoming third birthday. I felt that it was always like this. Whenever I had to gift my relatives something it was almost inevitable that I had to purchase something for my in-laws also. Anyways over the years I have almost got used to all this.
